What type of equipment is available?
-Treadmills, stairmasters, concept II rowers, stationary
cycle ergometers, recumbent bicycles, upper body ergometers,
elliptical cross trainers, slide board, body mater weight
training machines, Olympic barbells and molded dumbbells,
medicine balls, Swiss balls, balance training devices,
therabands, lifeline tubing.
Who will assist me?
-A member of our highly qualified sports performance
team with Bachelor and Master Degrees in Athletic and
Exercise Science fields, Certified Sports Performance
Specialists through NSCA, NATA, and NASM.
What is therapeutic stretching?
-Therapeutic stretching is a method used to increase
the flexibility of a muscle to reduce the stress on
your joints. Improved range of motion, or flexibility,
means there will be a reduction of stress across the
joint, which can decrease pain and improve function.
Improved function can also improve athletic performance.
What is core training?
- The core refers to the muscles surrounding your hip,
midsection, and back working together efficiently to
support your pelvic girdle (hips) and spine. These muscles
are typically under trained but are highly involved
by everyone.
-Athletes performing at a high level of competition
to people performing daily activities such as laundry,
washing a car, gardening, etc.
-We
train these muscles in an efficient manner to optimize
carry over form the gym to your daily activities and
sporting activities to increase performance, reduce
fatigue, and prevent injury.
-We will utilize a variety of equipment to incorporate
a fun and challenging program to train your core to
be the best it can be.
What is functional training?
-Functional training is exercise that mimics how the
body works in the real world. Functional training brings
movements of everyday activities into the workout program
to train your body in a functional, or purposeful, maneuver.
