The Surgical Specialty Center at Coordinated Health provides you with both ambulatory and inpatient surgical services in a friendly, stress-free environment. This State-of-the-Art facility includes six operating rooms, two treatment rooms, pre-operative and post-operative recovery areas and large reception areas where your loved ones can relax during your procedure or stay. Our Surgical Center includes 20 inpatient beds each located in a private, spacious room that offers high speed internet access as well as a number of other amenities.

EMIL J. DIIORIO, M.D.EMIL J. DIIORIO, M.D.

Dr. Emil DiIorio, a Board Certified Orthopedic Surgeon, Fellow of American College of Sports Medicine, is a graduate of New York University with a master's degree from the University of Ghent, Belgium and a Medical Doctorate from the University of Antwerp, Belgium. Under his leadership, Coordinated Health has become the pre-eminent health care provider in the Lehigh Valley. After his residency at Boston University's prestigious Lahey Clinic, Dr. DiIorio founded Orthopedic & Sports Medicine Lehigh Valley, the predecessor corporations of Coordinated Health. Dr. DiIorio is the Orthopedic Team Physician at Lehigh University. Dr. DiIorio has written and spoken frequently in the areas of Sports Medicine and Employer health care and has been recognized on numerous occasions for his outstanding accomplishments in orthopedic surgery and occupational health.

Dr. Weiss is a Board Certified Orthopedic Surgeon, Fellow of American College of Sports Medicine for Coordinated Health. He graduated from the University of Rochester and received his M.D. from Cornell University Medical College. Dr. Weiss is fellowship trained in Sports Medicine from the University of Wisconsin. Dr. Weiss has participated as Team Physician for the United States Nordic Ski Team and also the USA Rugby Team. Dr. Weiss is the Team Orthopedic Surgeon at Lafayette College and Blair Academy, as well as several area high schools.

Dr. Godbout is a Board Certified Orthopedic Surgeon, Fellow of the American College of Sports Medicine for Coordinated Health. Dr. Godbout graduated from medical school at the State University of New York Upstate Medical Center in Syracuse, NY. Dr. Godbout completed his fellowship in sports medicine at the American Sports Medicine Institute in Birmingham, AL. Prior to that he completed his residency in Orthopedics at Brown University in Providence, RI. Dr. Godbout is currently serving as Team Orthopedic Surgeon at Moravian College and several area high schools.


WAYNE T. LUCHETTI, M.D.WAYNE T. LUCHETTI, M.D.

Dr. Luchetti is a board certified orthopedic surgeon and is fellowship trained in Sports Medicine. Dr. Luchetti graduated Valedictorian from Kings College, PA, and attended the University Of Pennsylvania School Of Medicine. He completed his surgical internship and orthopedic residency at the University Of Pennsylvania. Wayne then completed fellowship training in sports medicine and total joint reconstruction at the Southern California Center for Sports Medicine. He has extensive experience in treating high school, college, and professional athletes. Wayne currently serves as the team physician at Lehigh University, as well as Nazareth High School. He has extensive research experience, numerous publications, and has presented at numerous national meetings including the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, The Orthopedic Trauma Association, and The Orthopedic Research Society.

Dr. Hoffman is a board certified Orthopedic Surgeon who graduated from Dickinson College in Carlisle, PA and later earned a master's degree in Physiology from Temple University. Dr. Hoffman completed his General Surgery internship at New York Hospital/Cornell Medical Center in New York. He completed his orthopedic surgery residency program and a Sports Medicine Fellowship at Seton Hall University Hospital in Patterson, NJ. His areas of expertise include: sports medicine, joint replacements, arthroscopic surgery and general orthopedics.


JON D. HERNANDEZ, M.D., PH.D.JON D. HERNANDEZ, M.D., PH.D.

Dr. Hernandez attended the University of California Los Angeles where he received both his M.D. and Ph.D. He completed his residency in Orthopedics at Duke University Medical Center, and the Mary S. Stern Hand Surgery Fellowship in Cincinnati, OH. Dr. Hernandez has extensive research experience and has participated in a number of publications and presentations.

Dr. Rossini is a graduate of Temple University and the Temple University School of Medicine. He completed his internship and residency in Orthopedic Surgery at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. He went on to complete a fellowship in Orthopaedic Sports Medicine and Arthroscopic Surgery at Union Memorial Hospital in Baltimore, MD.


CHRISTOPHER WAGENER, M.D.CHRISTOPHER WAGENER, M.D.

After graduating magna cum laude from the University of California, Dr. Wagener received a Master's of Science in Physiology and Biophysics. Graduating with highest distinction, he went on to earn his doctorate, also with honors, from Georgetown University, School of Medicine. Thereafter, he completed his residency at Georgetown in Orthopedic Surgery. He most recently completed his fellowship in Spine Surgery at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. Dr. Wagener's medical training includes a wide variety of research projects, academic presentations and a background in teaching. Dr. Wagener's professional interests include complex surgical reconstruction of the cervical and lumbar spine for degenerative, congenital, traumatic and tumor based conditions. His training includes a full breadth of both orthopedic and neurosurgical spine techniques including microsurgery, instrumented fusions, and the emerging technology involving motion preservation (X-Stop®, Cervical Disc Replacement, Vertbroplasty/Kyphoplasty).

Dr. Terpstra graduated locally from Bangor H.S., and Muhlenberg College, where he was recently inducted into both schools sports hall of fame. Attending medical school at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, he completed his internship and residency at the Pinnacle Health System, while training at P.S.U. Hershey Medical Center. Dr. Terpstra completed his Sports medicine fellowship at the Univ. of Cincinnati-Wellington Orthopedics. His sports experiences include working on the pro Tennis and Volleyball tours, with the Univ. of Cincinnati football and basketball programs, and serving as Assistant orthopedic surgeon for the Cincinnati Bengals.

Dr. Gibson is a graduate of Yale University and the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine. He completed both his internship and Residency at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. He then completed his Fellowship in Sports Medicine at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center. Dr. Gibson is a contributing author to the latest publication of the "Netter's Sports Medicine: Team Physician Handbook". His sports experiences include working the Big 12 Track and Field Championships, the Collegiate Hockey Championships (The Frozen 4) and working with the University of Colorado and University of Denver athletics.

Dr. Schwartz, a Board Certified Podiatrist, is a graduate of East Stroudsburg University and the Pennsylvania College of Podiatric Medicine. He completed his residency at Oxford Hospital in Philadelphia, PA and received his fellowship from the American Academy of Podiatric Sports Medicine in Philadelphia. Dr. Schwartz is a Podiatric Sports Medicine Advisor to Allentown College, Lafayette College, Lehigh University and Moravian College, as well as several area high schools. Dr. Schwartz is best known for his Runners Clinics and his prowess for fly-fishing.

Dr. McCarroll, a Board Certified Podiatrist, is a graduate of Indiana University of Pennsylvania. He completed his surgical training in Rearfoot and Reconstructive surgery at the University of Pennsylvania Health System and obtained his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine from the Pennsylvania College of Podiatric Medicine. He assists as Podiatric Sports Medicine Advisor at Lafayette College and Moravian College and several area high schools. Dr. McCarroll has a special interest in treating adult and pediatric patients with advanced arthritis or deformity, tendon dysfunction, post-traumatic injuries and fractures.

Stephen A. Brigido, DPM

Fellow, American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons

 

Dr. Brigido is a graduate of Randolph-Macon College in Ashland, Va. and received his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine from Temple University.  He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Podiatric Surgery and is board certified in both foot surgery and rearfoot/ankle surgery.  Dr. Brigido has a focus in adult reconstruction of the foot and ankle, ankle arthritis, and ankle replacement surgery. 

 

Dr. Brigido is active in teaching and research. He has presented at numerous national and international foot and ankle courses. His research interests include acellular regenerative tissue scaffolds and foot and ankle reconstruction.

Dr. Stoll earned his bachelor's degree from Colorado State University and later attended medical school at the University of Colorado. He joined Coordinated Health in 2002 as the Medical Director of the Back and Neck Center. Dr. Stoll is board certified by the American Board of Physical and Rehabilitation Medicine and is one of the few nationally recognized physicians conducting investigational research using the Palomar Laser. Currently he is focusing his efforts in the area of regeneration and restoration of injured tissue through non-surgical treatment. Dr. Stoll competed in the 1994 Winter Olympics as a member of the US Olympic Bobsled team and currently is the athletic team physician for Lehigh University and a consultant for the United States Bobsled and Skeleton Federation.

Dr. Kooch completed his education at the University of West Virginia, School of Medicine. He then traveled north to Buffalo for two years of graduate work at the University at Buffalo, School of Public Health and Health Professionals. Prior to coming to Coordinated Health, Dr. Kooch lived in Chicago where he obtained his Doctorate of Osteopathic Medicine from Midwestern University. While in the Windy City he also attended the Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine, completed his medical internship at Northwestern Memorial Hospital and his specialty training in Musculoskeletal Medicine at the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago.
