What to Expect During Therapy
What to wear
We recommend you wear looser-fitting exercise clothes and sneakers for maximum comfort when performing your exercises.
Duration
Therapy visits last one hour.
New Patient Registration Forms
Please plan to arrive 15 minutes early to complete your new patient forms. Those forms include a Patient Information form, Therapy Benefit form, Treatment Agreement and a Policies Acknowledgement form.
To facilitate your registration process, you may download and fill out several of these forms in advance. Please remember to bring this with you to your initial evaluation.
Meet your Therapy Team
You meet your Physical or Occupational Therapist who evaluates your injury/condition, discusses your therapy goals and needs, and develops your individualized treatment plan.
Review your Treatment Plan
The length of your treatment plan and frequency of visits is based on your specific injury or condition, your physician’s prescription, your insurance plan, and your therapist’s recommendations.
Regularly scheduled Appointments
During each visit, you work with a member of your clinical team who supervises and instructs you in your exercises. As you reach specific treatment goals, your exercises and treatment level progresses. Your therapist is available throughout your treatment session to answer any questions you have. In most cases, you participate in therapy several times a week for one hour each visit.
Home Exercise Program
Your therapist instructs you on a home exercise program to complement the care you receive while in therapy. These exercises are integral part of your healing process and assist you in achieving your therapy goals.
Communication
Your therapist is responsible for maintaining regular communication with your doctor, surgeon and/or case manager regarding your progress.
