X-Ray

Coordinated Health Imaging - X-RayAn X-ray uses a minimal amount of radiation to take a picture of your bones. X-rays take only a fraction of a second to complete and are completely painless and safe. Depending on the body part you need examined, X-rays are taken from a standing, seating, or lying down position. Our x-ray technicians properly position you prior to obtaining the x-ray.

There is no preparation needed to take an X-ray. Loose fitting, comfortable clothes are the best choice to wear if you know you are having an x-ray taken. However, x-rays cannot be taken if you have on metal, such as zippers on your pants. In this case and for your protection, you will be asked to change into a gown.

If you suspect you are pregnant, you must tell your x-ray technician. Pregnancy will prevent you from having an x-ray.

Through our electronic imaging network, your x-ray is available immediately to your Coordinated Health physician so a diagnosis can be made right away. If your physician is outside the Coordinated Health network and does not have access to our electronic imaging network, our musculoskeletal radiologist reads your exam and the images and written report are sent to your physician within one or two business days.
