Cara Marie Guilfoyle, M.D. is a fellowship trained breast surgeon. She graduated from Drexel University College of Medicine with her doctorate in 2006 and went on to do her residency in general surgery at Temple University Hospital in Philadelphia. Her fellowship was in breast oncology at Bryn Mawr Hospital in Bryn Mawr, PA. Some of the conditions she treats include benign and malignant breast disease. This includes breast lumps, cysts, abscesses, and nipple discharge . She performs lumpectomies, mastectomies, lymph node biopsies, as well as minimally invasive biopsies. She is a member of the American College of Surgeons, American Society of Breast Surgeons and the Society of Surgical Oncology. In her spare time, Cara enjoys an array of outdoor activities including mountain biking, running and competitive adventure racing racing.
